The Bachelor of Design (B.Des) at Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID), Pune, is a comprehensive four-year, 160-credit undergraduate degree awarded by Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune. The programme combines traditional design principles with new media, emerging technologies and essential soft skills to prepare students for the evolving design industry. The first year serves as a foundation, building skills in visual perception, sketching, design history, technology, project execution and critical thinking, before students specialise in one of seven specialisations focused on research, skill development and professional practice.

The graphic design course at SID explores visual language, typography, images and digital media to help students craft communication that informs, inspires and leaves an impression.

Animation & Film Design

Complete your online B.Des admission registration and SEED application.

Appear for SEED
Take the mandatory Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) test.

Submit your Portfolio
Upload your portfolio as part of the PRPI process.

Appear for the PI
Participate in the Personal Interaction (PI) to showcase your design aptitude.
- 05
Earn your place
Final selection is based on cumulative merit across the admission process.
Who can apply for the B.Des course through SEED?
Passed 10+2 examination. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.
OR Passed D. Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.
